Riddle Cloud is a site specific installation at Gate 27 Artist Residency in Istanbul, Turkey. It is inspired by the movement of light and sundials, is made of marble and brass. Instead of numbers, the viewer is face to face with a surprising abstract and geometry that hints certain different states of being at the location during different times of the day. Throughout the day, light and shadows create different intersections and shapes.
The installation invites the viewers to reflect on the dynamic atmosphere of the topography viewed from the residency area, the colors and textures of natural and architectural elements that change day by day. It puts forward an approach that sees time as the transformation of the “world”. In addition, the viewer can read a unique numerical value on the clock, shaped by the dynamics of the space, by deciphering the numbers placed through geometric shapes.
